With more than 60 years in the printing industry Print Baron can help you in all aspects of printing, and if they cant, they’re sure to point you in the right direction.
Our speciality is in the short run market, the jobs that the “big boys” don’t want to touch, but we also have facilities to do larger jobs as well.
From design to despatch most of the work is done on site by the people you talk to on the counter, phone or email, and we make sure we understand what you want before proceeding with any work.
All we ask is for you to come in and talk to us with your ideas and we will produce the best and most cost effective solutions!
Company History
Print Baron (Baron Printing Co as it was known then) was established in 1959 in South Melbourne by Tom and moved to their current location in Burwood in 1973.
From initial beginnings, Baron Printing soon grew and became recognised for printing the local paper in South Melbourne, the “South Melbourne Contact”. Initially set in letterpress, Tom soon realised that new types of machinery were leading the way in printing and he invested in a Heidelberg offset KORA. This was one of the first of these machines in Australia and sparked a long relationship between Print Baron and Heidelberg.
The KORA is now long gone and replaced with modern machinery including a host of digital and finishing machinery that ensures quality and reliability to all our clients.
Print Baron has always been a family business and in 1988 Tom’s son Michael joined the business.
With a combined total of more than 90 years experience in the publishing, printing and pre-press areas, Tom and Michael of Print Baron can help you in all aspects of printing.
